This is My Art

The time has arrived where I've taken a year of my life in cell phone madness (one photo every day of me), and it is time to evaluate. I had a small form contest at around the 1/3 mark of the year, but I want to know what you guys think. I believe art is determined twofold. Half of what makes art what it should be is the artist. Art is an expression of what the artist believes to be true in their heart; it shows a piece of their world and how they view things. The other half of art is the masses. This is the more difficult side of art, because the masses are fickle. While it may be difficult to please one's self, it is far more difficult to please everyone else. However no artist is trying to do that, they simply want to share their art with the world (Okay there are some who are naive and/or corporate shills). There can become a dialogue between the audience and the artist.
Now I've been told I'm a fairly artistic person and that is probably true. I play guitar, love singing and listening to music, enjoy drama, making movies, improv comedy, writing satirical works and drawing randomly interesting pictures of penguins. That's quite a few things. But as well as that I take cell phone pictures of myself. Yes I realize I explained much of this on my other blog a while back, but I bet most people reading this have not. Why do I do it? I don't know. I guess when I ended up with a cell phone I wanted a background (and why not a picture of me?) Well then I wanted to change it a few days later and then I did it again, and again and what began fairly simple just kept going, and going.
As the months went on there were numerous times when I began to think, "How on Earth do I keep taking fresh pictures after so long?" Well I still think that. It's the same thing with any kind of art. It's all been done. Everything. However there's always new combinations of ideas to do together that haven't been done. Thus I strive one.
I don't think this collection is a masterpiece in time, it's just me. That's I suppose how you have to judge it...

...or you could judge it based on personal tastes. Yes, since art involves you the audience I would like to figure out favorites from the year. I have some of my own, but I cannot let you know that. What I will do is post groups of pictures in tens (ten of those, 100 of my favorites). From there I want you to pick out five of your favorites from each group and tell me (by commenting). Order those from 1 (best) to five (fifth best). Remember that each group is broken up into two sections (one and two), simply because I can't post all the pictures in one post. Those are part of ONE group of ten. After all of it is done, I'll have the final round. Thanks for your time
